In the Merchant Services or Credit Card Processing industry this kind of merchant account would be called a MOTO or Keyed merchant account. The reason is because the merchant will not be able to accept credit cards in person, thus not able to swipe the card through a credit card machine.

Transactions are automatically settled each day and funded within 48 hours. These funds land directly in your business checking account. This is called a DDA direct deposit. Using our Ecommerce Software merchant account as a fully enabled Ecommerce application for credit card processing is very simple. This is sometimes called real time processing. Once the system is in place a customer will be able to shop a web site and make a  real time purchase. This means a customer can purchase and pay a company for their product or service with no contact from that company.  Our Ecommerce system can be easily integrated with a shopping cart provided by PMC. This is great  if a company has multiple products, services or shipping charges that need to be integrated. There are a few shopping carts that are free. 

Once the merchant account is online a merchant can login to the Ecommerce system and configure it any way they want very easily. Once the system is in place it runs the same way as the Virtual Terminal for all methods of credit card processing. Why? Because it is the same system, it is just being used differently.
